Anita Sheppard

1947 — January 1, 2021

It is with very heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Anita Marie Sheppard on Sunday, October 3, 2021 in her 75th year. Predeceased by parents Laura (Rousseau) and Maurice Jasmin, as well as siblings Robert, Raymond, Irene, Diane, and Lorraine. Lovingly survived by her husband Brendan Sheppard, and daughters Christine, Sophie, and Laura (Tim). 'Gam gam' leaves behind her much adored grandchildren Stephanie, Jonathan, and Alexandra who gave much joy to her. Anita will also be dearly loved and missed by surviving siblings Helen, Estelle, Laurette, Carol, and Rick as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Family was always her number one priority. Her creativity knew no bounds, whether it was crafting, crocheting or painting, she was always willing to share her knowledge with others. She was an extremely talented cook who worked in the restaurant industry for many years and as of late, was an avid gardener. She was happiest eating tomatoes from her garden and playing with her beloved little dog Oreo. Her generosity, quick wit, and wicked sense of humour, will never be forgotten by those who knew her. Anita had a strong belief in her Faith and will be honoured with a Celebration of Life on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie. The family would like to thank the staff at Royal Victoria Hospital for their care during her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anita Marie’s memory to Royal Victoria Hospital, would be graciously appreciated.
