We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Legacy Funeral and Cremation Services Inc.
The family of Humberto Medeiros is saddened to announce his passing on the evening of July 21st, 2022 at the age of 86 years. After asking the Medeiros women to leave his room (we are much too loud), he passed peacefully with his only son by his side.
Humberto was a hard working, goofy, stubborn man who will be missed dearly by his son Walt Medeiros (partner Kelly Toms). His granddaughters, who he called his sweethearts, Amanda, Randi and Leanne, their mother Anne, and great grandson Wyatt, will miss him dearly. He will be together again with his loving wife Maria and late son, Joseph.
He was not just grandpa to us, but to all of those who worked with him and felt like he was family enough to call him grandpa as well. He will be greatly missed by his friends at IOOF Seniors Home, as well as numerous relatives and friends
Humberto immigrated from the Azores to Toronto in 1964. He made Barrie his home and made many friends along the way. He loved the Maple Leafs and Blue Jays, he liked to make us laugh and cared for us so deeply.
Please watch the Jays game extra loud tonight and enjoy a glass of vinho do Porto for grandpa.
A private service will be held at the family’s request. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Jays Care Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
